Google lens: New features you need to know..

Google CEO Sundar Pichai has announced several new features at Google I/O 2019 on Tuesday, May 07, 2019. Google I/O is an annual developer conference where Google announces various updates related to the existing and new Google software products.

Google Lens was first announced during Google I/O 2017 which was developed by Google. It is an image recognition technology which identifies the object and brings all the relevant information about the object focused by the lens based on a neural network. It is can be used with the camera app of the Android smartphone.

Google has added a new feature of capturing and translating the text and reading out the text in the preferred language. The reading out text feature is useful for the people who are not able to read so that they can translate the text and can listen and understand the content in their own language. This feature will be first available on Google Go which is an operating system for low powered devices.

Another added big feature is the recommendation related to the restaurants. If you are visiting a new restaurant and are confused about what to order, simply point your phone's camera to the menu card, it will tell you about the most popular dishes of that restaurant along with the pictures and reviews from the Google map. In addition to this, while paying your bills, when you point your phone's camera at the bill, Google lens will calculate the tip and will split the bill.

If you wish to cook your food at your home, Google lens will help you to find recipes from Bon Appétit magazine. It will also play an instructional video for you to understand the cooking process in more better way.

All these new Google lens features will be available later this month, according to Google.
